Yes, I AM well aware of the fact that I havent updated this thing in a long time and my apologies for that. However, yall have to realize that I AM a newlywed so sometimes I have, ahem, other things to be doing :-P Speaking of my husband, he has an alarm clock. This might not seem so unusual to you as most people have them, hell, even I have one and I dont have a job. Justin has had this clock since around 1990 and up until a year or so ago it was perfectly fine, completely functional, and not aesthetically displeasing. BUT about a year ago this clock started making, at random times, a loud vibrating-type buzzing noise. The only way to make this noise stop was to gently tap the clock and as time went on the clock eventually needed a pretty decent smack in order to shut up. At this point in time he began having me set my alarm as a back up just incase his super clock should happen to let him down and make him late for work not that he ever sleeps anyway. Since this all began it has slowly been deteriorating particularly after my husband has been alone in the room with it (hes often on the phone in the bedroom with the door closed because hes a loud talker). Hes been slowly making what he calls improvements to the clock starting with the removal of the face because he believed that to be the cause of the aforementioned noise it wasnt. The clock looks gradually worse each time I see it. A week ago (when I had originally planned to cheese about this) the clock looked like this: and now it looks like this: and up close it looks like this: And just in the process of writing this hes already changed it once more the time display is now vertical instead of horizontal which was done because, it makes it easier to see what time it is while youre in bed. Speaking of the time display, the reason youre not able to tell what time I took the pictures is NOT because of the flash but rather because he removed the glare-reducing sticker that was once on the front. What this means is that unless the room is completely dark it is impossible to tell what time it is and in the dark it looks like Las Vegas is giving you the time. I know its common for people to be attached to certain things from their past like a teddy bear or an old t-shirt but cmon man, THIS IS AN ALARM CLOCK! I know youre probably thinking that I should just accidentally knock it over and kill it while cleaning or surprise him with a new one but its not that easy. If I were to purposefully cause harm to something I know he loves so much I would feel awful and if I bring a new clock into the house hell refuse to use it so Im stuck. Im stuck living with and looking at this clock. I have no idea what the next reconstruction of this clock will create but Im sure it will be humorous if not frightening...
