better than expected

Today could have REALLY sucked, but it didn't so that is good. I can't remember if I ever cheesed about my summer dental adventures with the fucking whorebag who should have her license taken away or not but today I had to see an endodontist. That definition you just clicked on sounds really fucking nasty and I assure you that I do NOT have "diseased pulp" anywhere in, on, or near my body. I've had a lot of pain on my lower left side ever since the fucking whorebag who should have her license taken away filled a cavity - pain to the point where I can't remember the last time I was able to chew even the softest of foods over there. The fucking whorebag who should have her license taken away sent me to the endodontist because she was convinced that the pain had nothing to do with her work but rather that I had a crack in my tooth that would require a root canal. So I went to the appointment and was told that there was no crack, that my tooth was completely normal, but that the filling she put it was still fucked up (even though she's looked at it three separate times since putting it in) and needed to be adjusted a little. He adjusted the filling which INSTANTLY felt better and then proceeded to "test" the area with some kind of super cold gas to prove that I was, indeed, having a reaction to cold because that is normal and expected in my age group. Lemme tell ya, this part was INSANELY painful and I'm not sure why nine or ten times was necessary because I'm thinkin' that once or twice shoulda been enough. I'll spare you all the boring details about this appointment such as having to hear about how he and his wife just purchased a new grand piano for their church and having to wait 45 minutes only to be seen for a couple of minutes and then hearing, "I have to finish up a couple of things in the next room...I'll be right back..." After the huge relief of finding out that I do NOT need to have a root canal we headed to the restaurant to meet my parents for a celebratory birthday dinner because it was recently my birthday. This was actually the least painful parental experience I've had in a long time so again, better than expected. My "better than expected" day started with my husband getting home from work pre-11am even though he had originally planned on staying longer and hopefully today will end with another "better than expected" that I won't be able share on cheese because it'll be, ahem, personal ;-) ... |
