How the hell did it get to be Thursday already?? Ive probably just been busy with my new friends - both of whom work unbelievably well. In fact, Im convinced that people without Sonicares have dirty and disgusting teeth and that people without Dysons have dirty and disgusting homes. Im a domestic engineer (a.k.a. housewife) so I generally have all the time I need to clean, do laundry, bake bread FROM SCRATCH, and whatever else it is I need to do so my house never really gets too dirty. I vacuum at least once a week and yesterday, when Miss Dyson showed up, I took her out of her box and put her together and was all excited to do a test run. However, I thought it would only be fair to the old vacuum if I ran through the house with it first just to see what, if anything, was missed. Thats right people - I voluntarily vacuumed twice yesterday - leave me and my overly domestic self alone. After I was done with the old vacuum I got Miss Dyson ready for a test run. What happened next is not for the weak of stomach so feel free to stop reading this slice now if you are such a person. In an area approximately 3' x 4' Miss Dyson sucked enough shit out of my just-vacuumed-with-the-old-vacuum carpet that surely I could have thrown up. As I looked at the rapidly filling canister I couldnt help but be grossed out. I was thinking to myself, hey - I walk here - BAREFOOT! and other such sentiments. I ended up doing another quick run through just through the middle of the house and holy disgusting gross shit! Just doing that little bit had her canister filled to the MAX line. I plan to do a more thorough cleaning today that involves moving the furniture and using some of the cool upholstery tools to clean the furniture itself. All I can say about Brushy is that when hes done having his way with my teeth they feel cleaner than a professional cleaning at the dentist - go buy one!
In other news, one of the only friends the husband and I have here in this city (that were not related to) is moving to another state far away just one week from today. Were getting together on Saturday afternoon for one last hurrah but Im pretty sure there will just as much, if not more, sadding as hurrahing... |
