I got my hair cut on Wednesday and seeing as it had been about 10 weeks since my last one I was definitely overdue for a visit to the salon. My hair is now the shortest that I think its ever been in my life but its a lot of fun - something I can easily wear with my natural curls and something I can wear funky and straight if I feel motivated enough to use a straightening iron.
There was nothing so out of the ordinary with this visit - same stylist, The Cute One was there, etc. However, during my entire haircut there were no scissors involved! Thats right, she cut all of my hair off without the use of scissors! Sure she always uses the razor to texture some stuff and to keep various layers from looking too severe but this time she did the whole thing (did I mention this?) WITHOUT SCISSORS! I can only imagine what I would have come up with had I just taken a razor blade on a stick to my head but shes a professional so it came out fabulous as always. If you should ever happen to be in Duluth and in need of a hair cut just let me know and Ill be sure to get you connected with Suzan (yes, with a z), the razor-wielding genius!
In other news, this evening the sun came out for the first time in about 3 days - ahhh, sun! Seriously, its been beyond foggy and gray and weird and bad and depressing so it was nice to see some daylight even if only for a brief period of time. Tomorrows forecast says Showers in the morning, then clearing with ample sunshine in the afternoon. High 71 F so wont THAT be lovely. I miss my pool! Hopefully that forecast will come true and we can finally get back into the damn thing for the first time in about five days.
In other other news, I had my penultimate contact lense appointment today - woo! In about three weeks Ill have my last check up and will be leaving the office with a years supply of new contacts and a reminder to schedule an exam in a year. I will be so glad when this is over! Once I get my official lenses Ill not have to think about contacts or solution or any of that stuff ever again! The only thing Ill have to do is put in a new pair once every 30 days - ahhhh! Its like having LASIK but without having to have someone poke around in my eyes with a laser only to need glasses or contacts again in a few years anyway. If you ask me, these new lenses of mine are PERFECTION!
Outside of that, as usual, theres not so much going on around here other than the shocking fact that I came through with the promise from my previous slice... |
