numbers piss me off

I received my new check card from WellsFargo yesterday and I just called to activate it. During the automated activation process I discovered that the numbers on the front of the new card are different from the ones on the old card. This means that every online place I have my card registered to make my online shopping easier needs to be changed this will probably take me months to get it all figured out as I cant even remember all of the places on the internet that my check card has been. I think the two most important ones were my online credit card accounts because imagine how pissed somebody would be if I were trying to make a payment with a non-existent check card account! Oh well, not much I can do about it except make a list of all the things I need to change to make it easier for me to do the next time I have to do this in October 2004. My other number problem today stems from amazon.com. I ordered a CD for Justin on August 31st and its still not here. Up until a few days ago I was expecting it to show up as my account showed that it was on order, to be shipped, and scheduled to arrive at the end of this month. However, it now shows that I never even ordered the thing! Ive now sent two emails to amazon.com and I even tried their 1-800 number this morning which was of absolutely no help to me. You see, its an automated thing and it asks for my order number the problem is that because amazon.com thinks I havent ordered anything it doesnt recognize my order number. As an alternate it asked me to enter my telephone numberin other words, something else it was unable to recognize. If I dont hear from them by early next week Ill just have to redo my order and if I somehow manage to end up with two copies Ill have to return one and yell at the amazons again. Who woulda thunk that a few numbers could cause sooooo many problems
