Justin and I took another one of our hikes today but this time we went south instead of north. We went to Jay Cooke State Park and phucked around by the St. Louis River - it wasn't exactly the kind of hiking Justin prefers (this was more climing on rocks and over fallen trees as opposed to the actual trails in Gooseberry) but I think he was glad to see it anyway. I hope I'll be able to convince him to try it one more time before he completely gives up on it. One of the best parts of the hike for me was jumping on the swinging bridge. We all know how Erica feels about being in high places and that overwhelming urge she has to leap from them so jumping on a bridge that moves around when I do it was GREAT! However, my FAVORITE part of today's experience was seeing Justin's face light up like a child's when he saw his first group of kayakers in the river. There's just something about that face and that moment - it'll be forever saved in my brain...
