new friend & old friend

I have a perfectly valid excuse for not putting up any slices since December 27th. In fact, I dont even need to put whats been going on here into words; the following picture should adequately explain my absence: Mr. Mixer and I have been doing all sorts of dirty activities together and have produced such things as cornbread, cream cheese mints, and these: Thats right, I made TWO LOAVES OF HOMEMADE BREAD!!! My poor husband had never tasted the joy that is homemade bread before and now he is quiet convinced that I should make a habit out of this. Im not so sure I wanna have to repeatedly commit 4-hour blocks of time to bread production but it sure is tasty (not to mention more healthy than the store-bought junk). I have a feeling my bread making talents wont be reserved for special occasions only. In other news, I ran into an old high school friend in JC Penny at the mall when the husband and I were there so he could use up a gift certificate he had received as a holiday gift. I think it had been at least five years since said friend and I had seen each other and neither of us had a clue what the other had been up to. I think the surprise of seeing each other took precedence over things like asking for phone numbers and email addresses so when I got home I was like, fuck, I dont know how to get in contact with her! But rest assured I used my Googleing skills to look up her mother (I remembered where she worked, stalker that I am) and I asked her to send my email address to her daughter. Well, she did and weve now happily exchanged a few emails which Im sure will be soon become regular habit. Other than dealing with a husband who is addicted to staring at a computer screen that looks like this: ...there hasnt been a whole lot going on. How could there be? The temperature has been below zero for days and is not expected to be much above that for the rest of the week. I hate it here... |
