If you know me and/or this blog you know that I like to cook and bake. Youve also learned that I simply adore Williams-Sonoma because I love kitchen gadgets waaaaaay more than I should. Youre already familiar with my friends Mr. Mixer and Wusty but I now have two more introductions to make: Readers of cheese, meet Boxy...Boxy, meet the readers of cheese. Readers of cheese, meet The Wine-O...The Wine-O, meet the readers of cheese. Boxy was an emergency purchase when my old 4-sided box grater (Gasp! A box grater with only four sides? How DID I survive?!?) started leaving pieces of its non-stick coating on my cheese nasty. Boxy is really quite amazing and although weve only been together three times thus far I know our relationship will be a long one hes fucking brilliant I tell ya. His parents had this to say about him: Easy and quick to use, Brown & Co.'s 18/10 stainless-steel box grater gives precise control and uniform results when prepping cheeses and vegetables, or grating fresh ginger, lemon peel or nutmeg. The six sides incorporate coarse and medium shredders, fine and extra-fine graters, a slicer and a julienne-cut blade. Its removable base holds grated food and then slides off to release the contents into a bowl or saucepan. Dishwasher safe. 5 1/2" diam., 9 1/2" high. They are very proud of him as well they should be because he is VERY good at what he does! The Wine-O has been a fun addition to our family so far and you know theres always a good time going on any time The Wine-O is around. I now have the ability to open a bottle of wine whenever the hell I want and if we dont feel up to finishing the bottle The Wine-O steps in, seals the bottle, sucks out the air, and saves the wine, good as new, for next time amazing! No one can be sure what the next addition to our family will be but I guarantee you Ill have one of these LONG before I have one of these... |
