you'll have to make up your own title 'cause I've got nothin'

I dont really feel like writing today, but I figured I should put something up to keep you from assuming that Im watching the idiot bowl. I assure you that no one in my house is watching that thing. Honestly? I didnt even know who was playing until about 15 minutes ago because Im one of about 12 Americans today who doesnt give a shit about football - well, American style anyway, real football is a whole other story :-) In fact, I cant think of a single American sport I like and thats a good thing. And dont even get me started on womens sports for a rant on that would surely get me flamed, flogged, and yelled at it - I dont have the energy or the patience for such things so Ill spare you if you spare me :-) I admit that I have seen a few of these games in my lifetime but that doesnt mean I liked them. I openly admit that I used to enjoy some of the commercials but the last batch I saw (about 5 years ago) wasnt worth the effort (and by effort I mean sitting on the couch with friends, food, and drinks for hours) so now I dont even bother with those. And you dont have to really because all of the really good and really bad ones will be replayed on the news, the internet, et al anyway. In other, far more interesting (to me at least), news, the sister (a.k.a. the cute one) and I are having one of our outings. It should be the usual - shopping, lunching, and maybe a movie. Sure its not THAT exciting, but I like that my sister lives close enough (2 streets away) that we can do stuff like that. And speaking of my sister - shes totally rockin with her badass self! On Wednesday she got a phone call of great opportunity - she was offered a new job! One that she didnt even have to apply for it - it was just offered to her because shes a rockstar like that :-) She officially starts the new job (same position but at a different, not to mention newer, nicer, and more prestigious hotel) on Monday the 14th - how romantic. Shell be making more money, have better hours, and have a much shorter commute so congratulations to the cute one! Outside of that today was just a lazy stay indoors kinda day because we were out yesterday seeing an AMAZING movie (that you ALL must see if you havent already) and Lastly, Ill inform you that I was just stupid enough to try one last time to order my stuff from Williams-Sonoma via the interweb and ya know what? IT WORKED! I got a confirmation email and everything! The item I am most looking forward to from my order is this very sexy cookbook holder. Thats right, Im 25 years old and I just called a cookbook holder sexy - maybe Glamslam (who desperately needs to update) was right, maybe I should have auditioned for this... |
