I hate it when I'm right

Well, if you had high hopes after reading the last slice, prepare for them to be dashed. Turns out the problem was the EGR valve and, fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it, the $500 repair job is coved by the extended warranty my husband opted for nearly seven years ago when he bought the car - it even covers the rental car we have in the meantime. And why do we need a rental car for an easily replaced part to be replaced? Well, apparently a car from 1998 is considered old and therefor they dont keep parts for it around. They said itd take 3-5 day to get the part and then a couple of hours at most to put it in. So Ill assume that well have our car back before the weekend and that well wait another 6-12 months or so before buying the new car - cest la vie! In other news, Im sure most of you are aware that yesterday was Hallmark Day a.k.a. Valentines Day. I dont really care about Valentines Day but I made the husband dress up and take me out anyway because, for us, the 14th day of February has its own significance. Yesterday marked the 4th anniversary of the day we confessed our true feelings for each other. We were friends and somewhere along the way we both wanted more but never really said anything (well, he did once but I didnt know he was serious but thats a story for another day) until that night four years ago when all the um...yeah...so....um...yeah...I like you...um...like that stuff came out and weve been inseparable ever since - awwwwwwwwwww :-P So we went out for dinner at the place we got married. We were given a rose (which conveniently matched my dress) and we enjoyed good food, wine, and dessert. We had a positively magical time so I know if your yesterday was half as good as ours that you, too, had a great day... |
