Yesterday afternoon two out of three drives in the RAID array on the main web server where my blog lives died so it took some time for everything to get moved onto the new one but things appear to be fine now - thank goodness! I was having major blog withdrawal! I missed checking to see if you guys had left any comments (even though I knew you couldnt leave any since no one could actually get here) and I wanted to update as I havent done so since Thursday. Not that I had/have anything to say, but thats not the point. The point is that I wanted to write and wasnt able to :-P The husband and I had a little outing this afternoon. Our first stop was for one of my FAVORITE things - a haircut! For the husband! WOOOOO! Anyone who really knows me that I love when he gets a hair cut, well, I could have done without this one but I love all the rest of them :-) After the haircut we had some lunch and then headed off to the bookstore to do some browsing. I did leave the husband alone in the store for a little bit so I could hit Walgreens (here the bookstore and Walgreens are both in the mall) to pick up a few things. After meeting up again in the bookstore we sat and read for a bit before heading off to campus. We had to go on campus because the husband needed canvas (hes recently, thanks to me, become obsessed with painting on non-rectangular/non-square canvases) and to just look around. He buys almost all of his art supplies there both for convenience and low prices. We actually got into a conversation with the woman in charge of the art part of the store and learned about all kinds of canvas shapes she can get in for him so I expect this newly discovered phase will last for awhile and its sure to produce some interesting things. In other news, I gave myself a much needed manicure today which consisted of painting my nails a lovely shade of lime green thanks to an impulse buy during the aforementioned visit to Walgreens. Now Im halfway through making shrimp sushi for the husband and I expect that well probably end up watching the new DVD that arrived today via Netflix. So I predict a relatively quite Saturday night here at our house which is probably a good thing - we had a new doorknob installed yesterday and thats about all the excitement I can handle... |
