oral surgery, busy people, new phones

Yesterdays dinner went really well and was VERY tasty. I was so distracted by all the goodness that I complete forgot to take pictures so youll just have to take my word for it that everything was, in fact, beautiful and perfect. The Cute One was pleased and thanked me appropriately which I think I deserved because I was certainly at her service yesterday. I took care of the meal, a load of her laundry, stain removal, hemming her pants, and dying her hair. But I dont mind - she works hard and deserves to be spoiled a little once in awhile so Im happy to do it. Speaking of taking care of her, she goes in for oral surgery tomorrow. Part of her wisdom tooth fell out late last week so shes been on pain medication ever since. Tomorrow was the first available appointment to have it removed so the husband and I will be taking her. Well be bringing her to and from the surgery and then bringing her back to our house so she can get all snuggled into the massive pile of squishy cushions and pillows that is our couch. Sure it might sound mean to make someone sleep on the couch after having oral surgery but trust me, she sleeps better on this couch than she does in her own bed. Last night, for example, she conked out on the love seat for close to three hours and DID NOT MOVE. So trust me, shell be fine. Well let her get settled in the living room and Ill proceed to wait on her hand and foot because thats what Id want if it were me. Id want someone to bring me ice cream and pain pills and anything else I asked for so Im more than happy to do this for her. In other news weve got a busy couple of weeks coming up - a good portion of which will allow me to wear dresses so Im totally all over this. The next two weeks will include less exciting things like dental checkups and but theyll also have things like potential new living space tours, opera receptions, and a classical guitar performace. In other OTHER news, the husband and I are getting new cell phones! We ordered them today so well soon be in the 21st century with the rest of you and taking equally bad camera phone photos of random public objects for no reason other than the fact that we can. It turns out that the husband gets an insanely amazing discount via work which we didnt know about until after almost 2 years of paying regular full price and only having one phone. Oh well, we missed out and theres nothing to be done about it now. However, I will gladly take a shiny new cell phone thatll be mine all mine and well gladly take an increase in anytime minutes and Ill gladly take the ability to reach my husband and hear his voice at any moment of my choosing because I love him so much that the amount of love I have for him is illegal in at least 47 states... |
