jergens does it again

Im a big fan of this product because, with daily use, it really does make a difference. The hair on my legs doesnt grown in as thick or as coarse as it used to which is, to me, pretty incredible. Unfortunately I still have to shave every day but I imagine that women who dont get 5 oclock shadow on their legs by noon can probably easily skip a few days if they use this lotion. That being said I have another Jegens-related product rave. I not only have the joy of dealing with the fastest growing body hair on the planet, but I also have the added bonus of possessing legs the color of paste. I realize that I am very Caucasian and have lived in northern Minnesota for all of my life so Im supposed to be on the pale side but really, my legs far exceed the requirements. There is white and then there is WHITE-white. My legs are, of course, the later. Granted all of me is pretty white but my legs have always been particularly Casper-like. Im sure many of you are thinking to yourselves, Why dont you get some sun? or Why not find a good tanning salon for either a bed or spray-on tan? or, the least appealing option, Pick up a bottle of sunless tanner already! Well sun is out because even with SPF 30 I burn and besides, its so unhealthy and gross anyway. Id rather be pasty and white than leathery and full of skin cancer any day. As for the salon stuff? Sure, thatll give you natural looking results, mmm hmmmm. And the sunless tanners? Puh-lease! Thats the most disgusting of them all! You cant tell me that looking like this or this is even remotely attractive because, unless youre one of these or these, Ill not believe you. And really, it takes some serious skills which I have no interest in acquiring in order to apply the damn stuff without having it look all streaky. Now back to what I was trying to say... I saw a commercial a couple of weeks ago for a new lotion from Jergens. It advertised itself as having the ability to give my skin a nice healthy glow after just a week or so of use. At first I assumed it was another craptastic sunless tanner but I investigated. It turns out that it doesnt promise to make you golden brown or create the illusion that you just spent two weeks on the beach. It simply said that in a week your skin could be up to one shade darker. Thats right, just one shade. It was because of this REALISTIC goal that I decided to track down a bottle and try it out. Well, lemme tell you this - by day three I noticed something was happening and now today, after just 6 applications, my legs look like theyre attached to a living breathing human being with blood flowing through her veins rather than to a corpse. Thats right, this stuff actually works and is nothing short of amazing! My legs are by no means tan but they are, in fact, a normal healthy leggy color and everything is even and natural looking - can you believe it? The lotion comes in two formulas - one for fair skin and one for medium skin. Ill give you three guesses as to which one I bought - and the first two dont count :-P Apparently Im not the only one who tried/wanted to try it out because, as youll notice on the Jergens website, you can sign up for an email waiting list since stores are having trouble keeping it in stock? I just bought my bottle on Friday and there were at least 30 on the shelf then so perhaps it just hasnt caught on here yet - though it should because its great... |
