Long story short its very hard to update while enjoying the 256 days of paid vacation that your husband has :-)
In other news, we had a living breathing human being who isnt related to us by blood or marriage over the other night...are you shocked? You should be. Was I shocked? More than you know. You see, the guest of honor on Wednesday night was Jeff (a new professor in the music department) and Ive never seen two people instantly have more in common than he and the husband in all my life! At one point I was ready to leave them alone so they could just make out and get it over with already! Seriously.
Theres only a 2-year age difference so they had plenty of childhood television shows, video games, and toys to discuss. And then! Then! Then we find out that theyre both freakishly into what is commonly referred to at my house as BSG. Theyre also into the same types of current video games (you know, the ones where you can shoot people - often in a WWII setting). However, computer games like Ghost Recon arent exactly designed for more than one person to play on one machine so they decided to dig out the husbands old Sega to play things like this and this instead. I have a feeling that outside of meal preparation and serving that the two of them didnt need me a all ;-)
In all honesty though I believe the three of us had a good time and that socializing will become a common thing amongst us.
In other news, I did NOT win $340M in Powerball on Wednesday night so that sucks. Your turn...tell me whats new with you... |
