strollers and photos

Theres not too terribly much going on around here these days aside from baby-related activities. The weather has finally been cooler than 95 degrees with 100% humidity so weve actually been able to take Max outta the house for walks, shopping trips, and visits. When were out and about its still easiest to snap his infant car seat (which, sadly, were almost done with) into the frame-only stroller, but when we go for walks from home he totally rides in style. Max is the proud owner of what I like to call The Hummer of strollers - a Bugaboo Cameleon. This thing is so fucking awesome that I cant even tell you - its the smoothest ride ever and I swear to you I could run over other peoples children and not even notice so it really is like Hummer or other large SUV :-P Two days ago I thought Id try going off road for the first time and I flew straight up a steep grass covered hill as though I were on brand new ultra-level blacktop - GENIOUS! In other news, I took Maxs 6-month photos the other day. I couldnt stomach the thought of going to JC Penny, Sears, Target, etc. because I know the photographers are just random people hired off the street and given that title. I also hate how EVERY baby has the same photos - same poses, same props, same backgrounds  I did contemplate taking him to a real photography studio but, for now at least, its still too hard to plan ahead as to when his most awake and most happy times of day will be so I couldnt justify the expense. I guess what they say is true, if you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself...so I did. I took about 100 photos and ended up with 12-14 really nice ones and another 30 or so really good ones. Im still in the process of fixing things up in Photoshop, but Ill post a couple of samples here just for fun...enjoy...
And a drooly one just for fun :-) |
